HELL’s Team grows with an additonal athlete and a brand new sport

HELL Racing Team’s sport discipline palette has a new addition, as László Hegedűs world renowned trial champion recently joins the team. The 14-time Hungarian Champion represents the true fan-favourite discipline among bike races, where the rider has to complete a special course featuring additional obstacles with a tricked out motorcycle. „Hege” is among the top-ten on the World Rankings containing a total of 125 riders.

The 25-year old young man has been among the very best in trial races for the past years. The special two-wheeled vehicle features no saddle and with the proper knowledge it can perform neat tricks on or off course, or on heavy terrain. The discipline’s – that is gaining constant fame around the Globe – best Hungarian rider is known as „Hege” by his fans. During the past seasons he was constantly achieving Top10 World- and European Championship finishes and Hege continued this streak leading to the best results of his life. In July at the Italian Mountain Bike and Trial European Championship Hege finished 4th, advancing a position compared to his results at the qualifications in the 26” Elite Male Category. The young  star who was elected in 2014 The Year’s Trial Athlete has continued his confident march to all the races, and has achieved two 5th positions at the Austrian and French races of Trial World Series. He was only behind current and previous world champions. „I knew I was in excellent shape and the Austrian 5th position gave enough motivation for me to make it again to the finals. Thanks to the outstanding organization so many fans made it, it was difficult even to move between the sections – but I managed to benefit from this and concentrate only on the crowd and the race. I stood at the grid line like I have to hold a demonstration in front of the largest crowd where only the heading direction is provided. This method worked wonders as I have managed to enter the finals holding the 6th position.” – Hege remembered his last race. For the finals, the organizers made the course even harder, creating huge challenges for the finalists. On top of that, the rain started to drizzle further hardening the factors. „In our discipline if the course consists of wet logs and concrete slabs it can be only completed with more intense concentration, more energy and risk and obviously less speed. Tipping the scale in either direction can easily decide where you are going to finish. I am very proud to have felt perfectly confident during the finals, and at one point had a jump which I only could take without penalties – all the previous world champions were penalized there. Eventually, improving a position I came in 5th position, which further secured my 6th position at the UCI World Series Ranking” – cheered HRT’s newbie. Hege’s next mission is to conquer the next race in Andorra to improve his position!
